We ask users for their phone numbers when they first create an account on Roll. The only purpose is to prevent users from creating multiple accounts on Roll and trying to game the system of earn codes we've created for our issuers. Creating multiple accounts is against our terms of service. This helps us protect the integrity of the system so that our issuers can fairly distribute their social money to their communities.
Your phone number is only used during registration to send you a 6-digit SMS code via Twilio to verify you're the legitimate owner of that phone number. We never user your phone number to message or call you for any other purposes, or sell or share your data with any third party.
